What is Yoga?

The word yoga, from the Sanskrit word yuj, means to yoke or bind, and is often interpreted as “union” or a method of discipline. Yoga is a group of physical, mental and spiritual practices. It includes breathing control, simple meditation and specific body postures.

Does it matter if I am a complete beginner to Yoga?

All levels are welcome to practice. Modifications and adjustments will be given.

Do I need to bring a mat with me?

All equipment will be provided. If you have your own mat and wish to bring it, please do so.

What is Vinyasa Yoga?

“Vinyasa” means to synchronise movement with breath, to flow from one pose to the next.

Do you include meditation and breath work in class?

Yes we do and both of these disciplines are incorporated in class. If you are new to Yoga come with an open mind, as both elements will compliment your yoga practice.

If I wish to just take the fitness classes do I have to join in the yoga classes?

No! You can take part in as much or as little as you like, this is your retreat! We suggest keeping an open mind and encourage you to participate in all classes to benefit the body and mind, but ultimately this is your choice.

If my practice is restricted due to an injury am I able to still join in?

Most definitely! Practicing yoga is like setting the reset button for the body and mind. Care and attention will be given to the injury creating a practice that is healing and restorative.

Will the yoga practice be suitable if I am pregnant?

We specialise in Prenatal, Pregnancy and Postnatal Yoga. All aspects of a safe, soothing and enjoyable practice will be given.

Are private one to one sessions available?

Yes! One to one sessions allow for a more intimate view of your practice and well being. Bespoke to your individual needs and requests.


What is involved in the fitness classes?

We offer an exciting variation of strength and conditioning work complimented with High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT). Different pieces of equipment will be used in addition to body weight exercises resulting in fat burning and muscle toning.

Why combine fitness and yoga?

Fitness work places positive stress on the human body forcing it to adapt and improve. Muscle contractions result in a shortening of your tissue over time. Contrastly yoga helps to lengthen and stretch your muscle tissue helping to aid with recovery and improve flexibility.

Are the fitness classes suitable for beginners?

All classes are adaptable to every level of fitness. So if you are a complete novice or serious athlete you will be equally challenged.

What do I need to wear?

Anything comfortable! It will be hot so make sure anything you wear is breathable. Trainers will be required for some of your sessions so bring a pair with you.

What do I need to bring to class with me?

A positive mindset, a willing attitude and a sweat towel.

If my fitness is restricted due to an injury and am I able to still join in?

We will need to know more about any injuries before you arrive. Once your reservation is confirmed you will receive a Health Profile form. This form includes questions regarding your current health mind and body, medical history, and your aims and objectives for your stay. We ask that you complete and return these forms prior to your arrival so that we can best prepare for your stay.

Will the fitness classes be suitable if I am pregnant?

There are certain restricted movements to abide by depending on each trimester. And it’s important to not become too hot or overheat but we do encourage fitness to continue during pregnancy so yes the fitness classes are suitable.

If I wish to just join in the yoga classes do I have to join in the fitness classes?

This is your vacation and you are in complete control! Therefore nothing is compulsory.

Are private one to one coaching sessions available?

Yes absolutely! Depending on availability as these do book up fast. One to one sessions are available to completely tailor your workouts to your ability, strength and fitness. (Additional charges apply).


How many meals are served a day?

Morning coffee, tea and fruit is available from 7:00am
Buffet breakfast served from 10:00am
Light lunch served from 2:00pm
Evening meal served from 7:00pm

All meals are freshly prepared by our in-house chef.

Do you serve meat/fish/diary?

We serve mainly vegetarian food with added chicken, fish and dairy options available. Eggs are available to order and are included at breakfast every day. The timing of all meals is designed to support your practice and activity level.

I have food allergies do I need to inform you of these before my stay?

If you are allergic to certain foods, please email us directly with details and requirements.

Is breakfast included the morning of departure?

Yes it is. Check-out is 12:00pm therefore you have full use of the facilities until then.


What time is check-in/check-out?

Check-in time is 3:00pm and check-out time is 12:00pm.

Can I secure my place with a deposit?

Yes, this is in fact how you secure your place. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required.

What VAT or service charges can I expect?

Our retreat is all-inclusive. There are no hidden VAT or service charges. Everything is included in your booking rate.

Should I bring additional cash with me?

We always recommend yes as there will be opportunities to purchase items from shops and market stalls during excursions. Also If you wanted to do any laundry or benefit from additional 1-1 sessions additional payments will have to be made.


What is the climate like in Koh Samui?

Koh Samui features a tropical climate. It is warm and sunny for most of the year. The heaviest precipitation is typically seen in the months of October and November. For the rest of the year, given the tropical climate, rain showers are brief; 20–60 minutes duration is typical.

How far away is the airport?

Our retreat lies on the west coast of Koh Samui which is forty-five minutes away from Koh Samui airport.

Will transfers be provided to and from the Airport?

Yes! Transfers to and from Koh Samui airport are included in your booking reservation.

Should I purchase travel insurance?

We strongly advise that all guests take out adequate travel insurance in case of unavoidable emergencies that may result in the cancellation of their stay.

Will I need a visa to travel to Thailand?

When entering Thailand for fewer than 30 days you do not require a visa. If you think you will want to spend more than 1 month in Thailand, we strongly recommend getting a tourist visa in your own country. Most travellers are issued a one month tourist visa upon arrival in Thailand at one of the country’s international airports. If you cross the Thai border by road you will only be given a 15 day visa.

Will I need any vaccines before visiting Thailand?

The Centres for Disease Control and World Health Organisation recommend these vaccines for a trip to Thailand:

Yellow Fever (if coming from a country with the virus)

Can I arrive a day before the retreat starts?

Unfortunately not as our retreat begins on Saturday that is when we kindly ask you to arrive. However there are other nearby hotels and accommodation if you would like to be close by before Saturday.

Can I extend my stay if I want to stay longer?

Our retreat dates are offered on a weekly basis and booked in months in advance. We do sometimes run them back to back and if this was the case the answer would be yes but please check our schedule before planning to stay longer.

Can I add on extra therapy treatments during my stay?

Yes of course, you will have 2 therapy treatments included in your stay with us and any additional treatments can be arranged and payed for when you arrive.

How much free downtime will I have?

As much as you wish. Our typical timetable can be seen here. So you are free to join in as many sessions as you like but as you can see there will be plenty of time for rest and relaxation time too.

Can my spouse/partner stay if they aren’t taking part in the retreat?

Yes that is fine by us. However we don’t offer any discounts in this circumstance (and after a couple of days we are sure they would want to join in the fun!).

How can I get to Koh Samui?

Bangkok Airways and Thai Airways fly to Koh Samui from the mainland. For flight schedules and airfares please visit their websites., Alternatively you can search the likes of, pop in your departure and destination and check out your options.

What if I have special health concerns?

Is it OK if I am travelling alone?

Our retreat welcomes solo travellers in a relaxed, safe and friendly environment. Whether you wish to disconnect from your everyday life and focus completely on yourself or perhaps connect with other guests creating new friendships along the way.

Can I smoke and drink alcohol?

These are both strictly prohibited. Our focus is on building your health, not compromising it!

Can I use my laptop and mobile phone?

Wifi is included in your stay however to ensure a peaceful environment we kindly ask that you only make or receive calls in the privacy of your own accommodation.
